Extra Large Spoon Rest in Icy White Blue Glaze, Handmade Spoon Dish, Made in USA

This spoon rest was thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a brown stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and glazed with a beautiful icy white that has a hint of blush blue that allows the natural speckling of the clay to come through and was then high fired in my electric kiln.

For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.

This spoon rest is great for serious home chefs, this will hold a large label or mixing spoon and keep the mess off your counter.
