Spoon Rest in Shiny White Glaze on Speckled Stoneware, Coffee Station Dish, Made in USA
$24.00 Sold out
This spoon rest was thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a speckled stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and glazed with a shiny white glaze that allows the natural speckling of the clay to show through. It was then high fired in my electric kiln.
For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.
Approximate size: 4.5-5" wide and 1" high
Ships for $8 USPS First Class mail.
