Set of Four White Speckled Matte Glazed Stoneware Bowls, Handcrafted Made in USA

Four rustic serving bowls were hand thrown and trimmed on my potter's wheel using a rich specked stoneware clay. They were then bisque fired and glazed with matte white glaze that allows the dark speckles of the natural stoneware to come through. They were then fired to cone 6 in my electric kiln.

For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like these.

Each bowl varies in size and shape since each is hand thrown, the approximate sizes are: 6" wide across the top and 3.25" high.
