Matches not included. This little cup was hand thrown on my pottery wheel using a dark brown speckled stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and glazed with white that has a very soft blue haze , this glaze is somewhat translucent as it allows the natural speckles of the clay to show through, it was then high fired in my electric kiln.
This cup may be used to store your matches, it has a removable match striker sheet on the bottom of the cup that peels off easily. This cup would also be great to hold your toothpicks or used as a shot glass, saki cup etc.
*For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.
Approximate size: 2.75" wide and 2.5" high.
Match striker paper can easily peel off, dishwasher safe once match striker paper is removed (it cannot be put back on).
