Copper Green and Black Speckled Stoneware Mug Made in USA
$40.00 Sold out
This cup was created on my pottery wheel using a brown stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and then glazed with a rustic copper green glaze with a satin finish on the outside and a shiny black on the inside and then high fired in my electric kiln.
For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.
This mug has a great feel in the hand and a warming round shape that makes it a pleasure to hold.
Approximate size: 4.25" across the top and 3" high.
Holds about 13 ounces of liquid.
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
